On 3 May, 50 competitors from 7 schools attended the Sport Without Boundaries inaugural cross country event at Thomas A Becket Junior School in Worthing. The event was inspired by the members of ARunners who also kindly sponsored the competition.
During the morning, KS2 children completed a 1200m course whilst those from KS3 completed a more gruelling 1500m.
Thanks to everyone who supported the event, to Thomas A Becket Junior School for hosting and their Sports Leaders for their amazing help. It was a great success reflected in the smiling faces of our wonderful participants and these comments from staff:
“The cross country event was just lovely and so well organised” (White Meadows Primary School)
“The children absolutely loved taking part having never been involved in anything like this before. It did so much for their confidence, so much so that they are already asking when they can be chosen for a competition again!” (Arundel C of E Primary School)
